Bill Lang is a business and entrepreneurship educator, coach and advisor with a passion for helping businesses achieve peak performance through skill development, strategy execution, and global partnerships that capitalise on the opportunities presented by the digital transformation and global business trading across major industries including energy, health and business services.

His 40 years’ experience in building better businesses across a range of industries and countries began at KPMG, McKinsey & Company and Macquarie Bank, and then in his own businesses which serve clients operating in over 50 countries.

His entrepreneurial journey began with ‘Dr Dog’, a hotdog selling start-up founded while studying at Melbourne University. Bill was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship and graduated as a Baker Scholar from Harvard Business School. In 1999 he co-founded internet technology and AI marketing businesses in Australia and Silicon Valley that culminated in a $120 million global alliance with AT&T and British Telecom. He first visited Beijing in 2001.

A lifelong learner and educator, Bill is an ‘entrepreneur educator and an education entrepreneur’. He is a former faculty member at Melbourne University, McKinsey, and the President and Secretary of the Institute of Advanced Business Studies. He was a Fellow at Victoria University’s Confucius Institute and was the co-founding Chair of the Harvard Alumni Entrepreneurs Australia.

Bill has advised and coached countless academic leaders, politicians, business owners and executive leaders in Australia, the UK, Africa, China, Asia and the USA. He has helped start-ups raise over $130m in early-stage capital from venture funds and several clients have achieved market capitalisation growth in excess of $1 Billion.

Bill has advised governments at all levels across a range of sectors. He has advised numerous ministerial councils, including the Small Business Ministerial Council, and he was a Delegate at the G20 Small Business Summit.

He is a passionate advocate for the vital contribution small businesses and entrepreneurs make in local communities, and to the broader economy. As the Chairman of Small Business Australia, Bill advocates for better policies and outcomes for the small business sector so they can grow and thrive.

As Chairman of the International Rehabilitation Institute,  he is leading an organisation that is bringing the world’s best rehabilitation technologies, systems, treatments and training solutions to China and countries along the Belt and Road. The International Rehabilitation Institute’s mission is “less pain for less time for more people”.

比尔为无数的学术领袖、政界人士、企业家和高管提供了指导与辅导,足迹遍及澳大利亚、英国、非洲、中国、亚洲及美国。他帮助初创企业从风险投资基金中筹集超过1.3亿美元的早期资金,并协助多家客户企业的市值增长超过10亿美元。

在政府咨询方面,他为多个领域的各级政府提供建议,曾向小企业部长级委员会等部长级理事会提供咨询,并作为小企业峰会的 G20 代表。

作为澳大利亚中小企业协会的主席,比尔为小型企业和创业者在本地社区及更广泛经济中发挥的重要作用积极倡导,推动更好的政策和成果以促进小型企业的成长与繁荣。

此外,作为国际康复研究院的主席,他领导该机构将世界一流的康复技术、系统、治疗和培训解决方案带到中国以及“一带一路”沿线国家。国际康复研究院的使命是“更少的痛苦、更短的时间、帮助更多的人”。
